What's in a Backdrop?

Backdrops served as a Main Focus throughout history, starting with theatre.  The backdrop would frame the stage and enhance the setting of any show.  Is is not uncommon now for a backdrop to be used in a Wedding Reception to serve the same function.  Many brides come to Decor with Grandeur and want that WOW factor!  Something that will distinguish them from the rest of the party and frame their lovely setting, even if just for one evening.  I want to highlight some of different elements and swagging techniques that can go into a backdrop that will enhance any wedding and make it a "Show Stopper"!

Contrast is popular!  This backdrop POPS because it is black on white.  Adding elements like chandeliers update the setting and make it more contemporary. Patterns and damask would give you a similar feel.  There is no mistaking who is the focal point in this wedding.
White on white elegance! This backdrop enhances it setting by a chandelier & LED glow.  Adding elements like the candelabras with florals made the room flow with connecting elements.  Lighting can make the difference when not experimenting with colour.
A Canopy is an interesting and different way to distinguish your head table.  Just enough room for TWO!  At Decor with Grandeur we love our chandeliers and love the opportunity to add them to your setting. Really think about your venue and what it already offers.  Sometimes you do not require a large backdrop for you to stand out.  A picturesque couple table for a fantasy bride!

There are many ways to swag draping.  It does not always have to be the traditional look.  Fashion can be interpreted in your swagging applications.  See a dress and love how it "hangs or drapes" off a frame?  Replicate it!   We carry a variety of different textures and sewn backdrops.  From a mature theatrical Austrian pleat to a more modern coin drop option, your backdrop should give dimension and play with texture.  Soft touches and finishes really make your setting unique.
A great tie-back can often give you a elegant look at a better price.
Here are some examples of tie back decor! We have many options for decorating our fabric.  Including crystal strands and more uplighting!
Lastly, you may want to get away from fabric and take a NEW TREND approach.  Paper Flower partitions are in demand and add texture and depth to your event!
